Happy Valentine's Day!!

I hope everyone had a very special day yesterday with your 'valentine'. Dave and the boys made our Valentine meal for Sunday lunch. I loved watching them as they made heart shaped pancakes! Very sweet! We had a yummy meal of pancakes, bacon & sausage, eggs and chocolate dipped strawberries!

The crew- hard at work. And I must point out the pliers! That was the easiest way they could find to pick up the hot heart-shaped mold!

Random Shots

I absolutely LOVE this picture! These boys have been so busy working on their target shooting lately! They've enjoyed hunting trips out in our river bottom area with their Daddy also.

Since our kitty, Milkshake, has become a temporary indoor cat, she gets quite the pampering! Cayden loves putting blankets on her to make her "nice and cozy."

Milkshake Saga- Part 2!!

As most of you know from a previous blog, our kitten, Milkshake, got a hook stuck in her paw a few weeks ago and has had a 'cast' on it. Well...she got the cast taken off on Tuesday...brought her home...let her outside because she has missed being outside...she was still favoring that foot some...she jumped off of something...put too much weight on her back leg...and yes, broke her back leg!! So, Wednesday, she was back on the vet table and now has a very large cast on her back leg! Poor thing! She really had a rough time last night. I'm sure she was still in some pain and everytime she moved, she let out a cry! I'm gad she seems more comfortable today!

SNOW!!

The boys enjoyed a snow day today! We had just about 1 1/2 inches, so just enough for these southern boys to enjoy playing in it! They hiked through the woods with the neighbor boys and sledded down a big hill and threw snowballs! By the time we decided to build a snowman, it was already in the melting stage, so that didn't get done! It's almost all gone this evening, after having a beautiful sunny day!

The boys in front of the pond. There is a little pond by the big one with a waterfall in it and it was totally frozen, so that was pretty!

Oops!!

We had our first vet emergency room visit last night! Our poor little kitty, Milkshake, stepped on a treble hook and got it stuck in her paw! Ouch!! She was such a good patient, though! We had to meet the vet at about 9:30 last night and she ended up staying overnight so he could sedate her to remove it! We picked her up this morning and she is still just licking the bandage alot! She's doing a pretty good job walking on it, though!

This is the culprit! Luckily, only one of the hooks was lodged in her paw, but still... can you imagine how that felt??

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a nice entrance to the New Year! We had a good evening with our friend's Dave & Nessa. We went down to the river behind us and had a nice, warm campfire, roasted weiners for hotdogs and made smore's. Then we came back home and did some fireworks and played Rook to watch the New Year in! I hope everyone has a wonderful 2011!!

Cayden liked eating the marshmallows right off of the roasting stick!

Dylan fell asleep at the fire! I guess the warmth really relaxed him!
