One evening after dinner we went to a jetty area at a park and some fished. I love this picture of Dad and Dylan with the sunset!

Dave telling the 'real' fisherman story! :)

Brooke and Blaire posed for a picture while they were hitting the volleyball around. The kids all had so much fun at this park. They had races 'piggy- back style'! Bryce was on Blaire's back and Dylan was on Brooke's back! Pretty comical to watch! Wonderful memories...

Cayden showing his 'karate' style kick into the pool. (He actually isn't jumping as close to the steps as this picture makes it look!)

We came home on Father's Day, so Dave didn't have the traditional Father's Day. But, we did make time to give him his cards and give him a camo chair that matches his boys:) I am so lucky to have this wonderful man as the father of my 3 boys!!

Summer Fun Has Began!

Summer is so much fun, especially when it involves our friends! We have already began to enjoy that!
Last weekend we enjoyed hosting a gathering with some of our 'growing-up buddies' from Louisiana. It's a little different now that we all have kiddos, but they all had so much fun together even though they weren't all familiar with each other!

It was quite an accomplishment to get a picture with all these silly kids!
Top Row: Bryce, Lane L., Cayden, Brock W., Dylan, Brent W.
Bottom Row: Samantha G., Salem C., Addison G., Kaylynn L., Brooklyn W.

Sarah and I- our families used to spend many a weekend together, even though we lived many hours apart! Great memories!

Last week, 3 of us ladies took our kids to the zoo. It's so much fun to see all these kiddos making memories together! Susanna, Calena, Brent (holding Brylee), Dylan, Bryce, Brock, Cayden, Brooklyn

Dylan was sure to let us know what we would be seeing next :)

The highly anticipated Orangutan! The kids were so excited to see him finally come out of 'hiding'!

End of School Year!

I can't believe the school year is already over, but we are so excited for a fun-filled summer! The boys were so lucky this year to have awesome teachers! They all had a wonderful school year!

Bryce with his 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Turner, at the Awards Ceremony. I was so proud of Bryce this year for receiving the Principal's Award- one girl and one boy in 3rd grade were chosen by the principal, so I was a pretty proud Mommy! He also got the P.E. Award, Academic Achievement (for A's & B's), and was certified as a Junior Master Gardener.

Dylan with his 1st grade teacher, Ms. Thomas. We were very proud of him also, for receiving the Exemplary Citizenshp award and the Academic Achievement Certificate.

Cayden with his Mother's Day Out teacher, Ms. Lynda. Cayden will be a young 5 year old next fall, so he will attend a private school's Kindergarten, then start into public school the next year.

Bryce loved being in the Honor Choir this year. They performed for the school's employee banquet, so here he is with his friend Chris before the performance.

'Proud To Be An American' Day

This was the 44nd Annual 'Proud to be an American' Day at Bryce & Dylan's school. It is always a really fun, patriotic day! They had a program where the flags were raised by the Boy Scouts, patriotic songs were sung, then on to the parade around the neighborhood by the school. After the parade, there was a hay ride, snowcones and lots of fun activities and crafts for the kiddos.

Raising of the flags- it always seems to 'get to me'! Especially when there were lots of soldiers there, since we live close by to Ft. Hood.

After the program- Dylan getting ready with his 1st grade class to get into 'parade mode'. Each grade makes matching shirts or hats (or both) to wear that day.

Dylan marching in the parade. The parade is led by a police car, then the soldiers with flags, then the High School Drummers, then each grade from 1st - 5th . There would've been more than 400 people in the parade!

Bryce with his friends, Anthony and Chris.

All 3 boys at the end of the school day with their patriotic craft.

Easter & Mother's Day

It seems like I'm having trouble finding the time these days to update my blog, so here are a few recent happenings.

Me and my 3 little guys on Mother's Day. Their Dad and them fixed me a yummy breakfast sandwich that morning. They were so excited for me to open my gifts that they had made me at school. :) I feel very lucky to be the Mom of this little family!

The bluebonnets around our pond were beautiful again this year!

We spent Easter weekend at Dad & Mom's. We always have such a special time there! Nana had made them Easter treats, which they loved! They spent lots of time fishing, helping Papa & Daddy cut wood for next winter, going on their first armadillo hunt :) and playing with the new kittens!

Vanilla, the Mommy cat had wandered onto Dad & Mom's property and has become a very sweet cat! She had a litter of kittens a few weeks before we came, so the boys had a ball at the barn with them!

I love this picture of the boys waiting for the kittens to come out of the hay to play!

This picture was not set up!:) Do they look like they are in a 'boys Heaven', or what!! Dave enjoys going and spending time with the boys doing 'boy stuff'!

Enchanted Rock

We enjoyed a day near Fredericksburg at Enchanted Rock on the boys Spring Break. The boys enjoyed climbing the Texas 'mountain'! Daddy rolls his eyes at that comment, because he knows what climbing a mountain is all about! HA

There was about an hour wait to get into the park, so the boys & I walked up to the entrance and took some pictures!

Family shot- and yes, it was very windy up there... thus, the wild hair! :)

Dave took Bryce & Dylan into one of many caves that they explored around.

Our 3 princes!

I just love this picture of Dave & Cayden! If you look in the background, you'll see how far we had already came, and we weren't to the top yet! :) That's alot of hill for those little 4 year legs! You can also see the stream of cars waiting to get in.

Sea World

One of the fun things we enjoyed this Spring Break was a trip to San Antonio. I always remember that being one of our favorite trips when I was growing up, and we still enjoy San Antonio! Of course, we always have to eat Mexican food on the Riverwalk at Casa Rio, and ride the river boats! We had a fun day at Sea World this year!

The crew! We went in our swimsuits this year and enjoyed the Waterpark area also!

Dave & the boys feeding the dolphins in the big dolphin tank.

A dolphin getting a good look at Bryce!

The kids play area is lots of fun for the boys! This big net goes high and wraps all around through tunnels.

The end of an exciting day at Sea World!
